The bottom end of the wooden core of älgen has a copper-tape covered cavity with all the wiring in. To close this off, there is a laser-cut cover made from frosted-translucent orange acrylic. The cover has my initials, MWD, etched into it, along with 'Älgen Prototype 1'

An unusual looking guitar sat on a workbench. The guitar consists of a wooden central core that consists of the neck extends that profile through the body, and then the sides of the body are made from a 3D printed lattice. The guitar has no headstock, instead having tuners at the bridge.
